Verified means a specific source check succeeded. It is not a general endorsement.
Unknown remains unknown. Missing evidence is not filled in.
Check times and change times belong to the records they describe.
Commercial relationships cannot buy a research conclusion.
VenueVeritas does not recommend a venue or tell a reader to trade.

What the desk will research

Public identity and legal-entity mapping for trading venues
Regulatory footprint attached to named entities
Operator disclosures, including reserves and custody claims when they exist
Public security incidents and operational disruptions
Market-structure facts that can be sourced
Explicit unknowns where evidence is missing

Source hierarchy

Higher sources outrank lower ones. A lower source does not fill a gap in a higher one.

Operator primary disclosures
Original incident and court records
Reputable secondary reporting, cited only as reporting

Verification rules

Cite the source before publishing the claim
Separate the source from the check status
Date the check
Leave missing evidence missing
